What robot mower and pool cleaner makers do not publish

We built a spec database of 11 robot mowers and 16 robot pool cleaners by reading manufacturer datasheets, manuals and store pages one field at a time. The gaps turned out to be as patterned as the numbers. This page records what is systematically missing, which models it affects, and where a maker's own pages contradict each other. We have not hardware-tested any of these machines, and every claim below is checkable against the manufacturer document it cites.

How the database was built, and what not published means

Every field in our data carries either a manufacturer figure with its source and a verification date, or the value not published. We never estimate, never average two conflicting numbers into a third, and never convert a retailer listing or a spare-part page into a spec. That discipline is what makes the absences legible: when a field is empty across an entire product line, the emptiness is a finding rather than a gap in our research.

Two publication bars follow from it. A robot mower gets a page when its maker publishes work area, cutting width and maximum slope. A robot pool cleaner needs a numeric pool-size capacity, expressed as area or as length, and a corded cleaner additionally needs a published cable length. All 11 mower records cleared the mower bar. Six of the 16 pool cleaner records did not, and are held with no page on the site. The missing-spec problem in this market is concentrated on the pool side, and heavily on corded models and surface skimmers.

One more feature of the market shapes everything below: a large share of the figures that do exist carry a laboratory disclaimer. Dreame footnotes its mower data as based on in-house or third-party lab testing. Ecovacs labels its narrow-passage and mowing-efficiency figures laboratory results. EcoFlow's manual states all spec data was lab measured and is for reference only. Segway describes its charge and runtime footnotes as internal laboratory testing. Aiper states its performance figures come from a controlled test environment or Aiper Laboratories. Beatbot footnotes its 5,500 GPH suction as the highest rate tested in its internal labs. Wybot carries a laboratory-environment, reference-only disclaimer on its spec sections. A disclosed lab basis is better practice than an undisclosed one, and it is still not a field measurement.

Cable length on corded pool cleaners

For a corded cleaner, cable length is the working envelope. It sets how far the robot can travel from the outlet, and no other published spec substitutes for it. Polaris publishes it: the EPIC 8642 iQ carries a 60 ft cable with a tangle-reducing swivel, alongside a 50 ft in-ground pool rating. That published reach is why the model has a page here at all.

Maytronics does not publish it for any of the three corded Dolphins we researched. We track but do not publish a page for the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus with Wi-Fi, the Dolphin Premier, or the Dolphin E10, because Maytronics does not publish a floating cable length for them. In each case the rest of the sheet is present and detailed: the Nautilus CC Plus publishes a 40 ft maximum pool length, a 2 hour default cycle time and a 4,500 gph suction rate; the Premier publishes 50 ft, a 3 hour default cycle and 4,500 gph; the E10 publishes 30 ft, a 1.5 hour default cycle and 4,000 gph. The one number that defines a corded cleaner's reach is the one number absent from all three.

The near-substitutes do not survive checking. Maytronics sells replacement swivel cables compatible with these robots at 56 to 60 ft, but a spare-part listing is not the robot's datasheet, and Maytronics' own part listings are self-inconsistent, with one page carrying 17M/56FT in its title against an 18m-60ft URL slug. The Dolphin E10's global page does publish a 12.0 m cable length, but that page states features and specifications vary by region and its table conflicts with the US page on maximum pool length, 8 m against 30 ft. We read the Nautilus CC Plus owner's manual in full; the only length figure in it is a 3.5 m (12 ft) power-supply placement distance, which is not a cable reach.   • Published: Polaris EPIC 8642 iQ, 60 ft cable with swivel.
  • Not published: Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus with Wi-Fi, Dolphin Premier, Dolphin E10, all corded, all held.
  • Not accepted as a substitute: replacement-cable part listings, and a region-caveated global figure that conflicts with the US page.

Numeric pool-size capacity

Three of the pool cleaner records we researched publish no pool-size number at all, neither an area in square feet nor a maximum length: the Aiper EcoSurfer S2, the Beatbot iSkim Ultra, and the Polaris FREEDOM Cordless Robotic Cleaner. All three are held. Two of them are surface skimmers, which is the clearest single-category pattern in our pool data.

Both skimmer makers describe fit qualitatively instead. Aiper's EcoSurfer S2 page claims suitability for any pool, listing regular pools, irregular pools and pools with an attached spa or loungers. Beatbot's iSkim Ultra pages state compatibility with all shapes and surface types, in-ground and above-ground, and publish no maximum area or length across the product page, the feature page or the compare page. The closest thing to a number is a Pool Size figure of 1,614 sq ft on Aiper's Experts Duo bundle page, which is a bundle-column figure not attributed to the S2 on its own, so it does not fill the gap.

The Polaris FREEDOM is the case that shows this is not only a skimmer habit. It is a cordless underwater cleaner covering floor, walls and waterline, and Polaris publishes a detailed sheet for it: a 9.6 Ah lithium-ion pack, a 2.5 hour maximum cleaning cycle, a charge time under 5 hours, and operating depth limits of 13 ft maximum and 15 in minimum. Neither the owner's manual spec table nor the brochure gives a maximum pool area or length. A widely repeated up-to-50-ft claim for the FREEDOM appears on retailer listings only, not on any Polaris document, so we exclude it. Polaris does publish 50 ft for its corded EPIC 8642 iQ, so this is a per-model omission rather than a house policy. The slope figure that goes missing at the lawn's edge

A robot mower's slope rating is really two numbers: what it can hold inside the mapped work area, and what it can hold along the boundary, where it has to track an edge on the grade. Four of our 11 mower records publish both. Husqvarna publishes 45 percent maximum slope inside the installation for the Automower 420 iQ and limits the boundary to 15 percent. Ecovacs publishes 45 percent (24 degrees) for the GOAT O1000 RTK work area with a separate 17 percent limit along virtual boundaries. Segway publishes 50 percent (27 degrees) for the Navimow X350 dropping to 25 percent (14 degrees) at the boundary, and 30 percent (17 degrees) for the Navimow i110N dropping to 10 percent (6 degrees).

Where the second figure exists, the drop is large. Husqvarna's boundary limit is one third of its interior figure, Ecovacs' is close to that, and Segway halves the X350 while cutting the i110N to a third. A buyer sizing a mower to a slope that runs to the fence line, rather than sitting in the middle of the lawn, is choosing against the lower number, and on the 420 iQ that is 15 percent rather than 45.

The other seven records publish a single slope figure and no boundary figure at all, which means the datasheet cannot tell you whether the headline holds at the edge. That includes the two steepest ratings in the whole set: Mammotion publishes 80 percent (38.6 degrees) max climbing ability for the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 and Dreame publishes 80 percent (38.7 degrees) max slope performance for the A3 AWD Pro 3500, each as one number. So do Sunseeker at 70 percent for the X7, Mammotion at 45 percent for the YUKA mini 2 1000H, Worx at 30 percent for the Landroid Vision WR208, and both discontinued records we document, the EcoFlow Blade at 50 percent and the Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD 3000HX at 80 percent. The models that disclose the harder case are not the ones with the biggest headline number. Runtime in minutes, and the two different quantities called noise

Three of the 11 mower records publish no battery runtime in minutes. Dreame publishes daily coverage by power mode for the A3 AWD Pro 3500, 0.62 acre per day in Standard, 0.87 in Efficient and 1.24 in Rush, and publishes a charging current of 5 A but no runtime and no charge time. Sunseeker publishes battery capacity only for the X7, a 10 Ah pack with a 5 A charger, again with neither runtime nor charge time. Worx publishes an approximate 160 minute charge time for the Landroid Vision WR208 in its owner's manual but no runtime per charge anywhere. On the pool side the equivalent gap is systematic across one brand. All four Beatbot records publish mode-specific maxima instead of a whole-pool runtime: up to 4 hours of continuous floor cleaning for the AquaSense 2, up to 11 hours of continuous surface cleaning for the AquaSense 2 Pro, and for the AquaSense 2 Ultra three separate figures, up to 10 hours for surface, 5 hours for floor and 4.5 hours for walls plus waterline. The held iSkim Ultra publishes only solar-extended figures tied to a 24 W panel, not a battery-only runtime. Polaris publishes a cleaning cycle of up to 2.5 hours for the held FREEDOM but no battery runtime, and a cycle time is a programmed length, not an energy limit.

Noise is the field where the numbers look most comparable and are least so, because two different physical quantities hide behind decibels: sound power, the total output of the source, and sound pressure, measured at a distance. Only two records in our whole set state which one was measured, and both are discontinued mowers documented from manuals rather than live product pages. EcoFlow's Blade manual publishes sound power of 59 dB(A) in Gentle mode and 65 dB(A) in Quick, alongside sound pressure of 51 and 57 dB(A), lab measured to EN 50636-2-107 and ANSI/OPEI 60335-2-107. Mammotion's LUBA 2 AWD manual publishes a headline Noise Level of 60 dB with A-weighted sound power of 66 dB and sound pressure of 58 dB. On both machines the sound power figure sits 8 dB above the sound pressure figure for the same mode.

Every other mower in the set publishes a bare decibel headline without saying which quantity it is: 57 dBA for the GOAT O1000 RTK, 58 dB(A) for the Navimow i110N, 59 dB for the Landroid Vision WR208, 60 dB(A) for the Sunseeker X7 and the Navimow X350, and 62 dB(A) for the Automower 420 iQ, which Husqvarna describes as sound level perceived. Two more are ceilings rather than measurements: up to 65 dB in standard cutting mode for the Dreame A3 AWD Pro 3500 and up to 70 dB for the LUBA 3 AWD 3000. Mammotion publishes no noise figure at all for the YUKA mini 2 1000H. The 8 dB gap between the two quantities on a single machine is wider than the entire 5 dB spread of the unlabeled headline figures from 57 to 62, which is the reason we do not rank mowers on noise.

Where a maker's own pages disagree, and the fields nobody fills

Internal contradiction is common enough that we log it as a field. Aiper publishes up to 180 minutes for the Scuba S1 on its product page while Aiper's own comparison table on the Scuba S1 Pro store page lists the same robot at up to 150 minutes. The Scuba S1 Pro spec table publishes 6,000 GPH while a comparison table on the same store page says 6,600 GPH, and three official Aiper pages give three different wall-climbing angles for it: 115 degrees, 90 degrees plus or minus 15, and 140 degrees plus or minus 10. The Scuba SE spec table publishes 860 sq ft and up to 90 minutes against a 850 sq ft banner and an up-to-100-minute mention on the same page. The Seagull Pro spec table gives 1,600 sq ft against a 1,614 sq ft callout. Other brands do the same on their own pages. Wybot's comparison table lists 3,592 GPH for the C2 Vision while a marketing bullet on the same page claims 3,883 GPH. Maytronics publishes a 2 hour default cycle for the held Nautilus CC Plus in the spec table and a 3 hour claim in marketing copy above it. Mammotion publishes 125 minutes and 2,700 sq ft per charge for the YUKA mini 2 1000H in the spec table and 2.5 hours and 2,690 sq ft in copy elsewhere on the page. Sunseeker frames the X7 as a 0.75 acre capacity class on its specs page, up to 1 acre of continuous maintenance on the store page, and up to 3 acres on the overview page. Segway lists the Navimow X350 at 2,799 dollars on the product page while its X3 spec page still shows a 3,499 dollar launch MSRP row. In each case we chart the structured spec-table value and record the conflict rather than pick a winner quietly.

Then there are the fields nobody fills. Aiper publishes no weight and no dimensions for the Scuba S1, the Scuba S1 Pro, the Scuba SE or the Seagull Pro. Polaris publishes no weight, no dimensions, no micron rating and no flow rate for the EPIC 8642 iQ, so a cleaner with a fully published cable length still has four empty fields. Micron ratings are unpublished on the EPIC 8642 iQ and on three held records, the Dolphin Premier, the Dolphin E10 and the Polaris FREEDOM. Four pool cleaners carry no manufacturer list price at all, because they sell through dealer or store-exclusive channels or have been delisted: the EPIC 8642 iQ, the Polaris FREEDOM, the Dolphin E10 and the Aiper Scuba SE. On the mower side, EcoFlow has delisted the Blade from its US store, so no current US list price exists for it either.

None of this is an accusation of bad machines. A missing figure says nothing about how a robot performs; it says that a specific comparison cannot be made honestly from published data, which is a different and narrower claim. It also tends to fall on the same fields year after year, which is why we log absences with the same care as figures. Which robot pool cleaner specs are most often missing?
Cable length on corded models, numeric pool-size capacity on surface skimmers, and micron filter ratings. In our set of 16 pool cleaners, three corded Maytronics Dolphins publish no cable length, three models publish no pool-size number at all, and four publish no micron rating. Weight and dimensions are absent from all four Aiper Scuba and Seagull cleaners and from the Polaris EPIC 8642 iQ.
Do robot mowers publish a different slope rating for the lawn edge?
Only some do. Four of the 11 mowers we track publish a separate, lower boundary figure: the Husqvarna Automower 420 iQ (45 percent interior, 15 percent boundary), the Ecovacs GOAT O1000 RTK (45 percent, 17 percent), the Segway Navimow X350 (50 percent, 25 percent) and the Navimow i110N (30 percent, 10 percent). The other seven publish one number, so the datasheet cannot tell you whether it holds at the edge.
Are robot mower noise ratings comparable across brands?
Usually not. A decibel figure can be sound power or sound pressure, and those are different quantities. The two machines in our set whose documentation states which was measured, both discontinued models documented from manuals, show the sound power figure sitting 8 dB above the sound pressure figure for the same mode. Every other mower publishes a bare decibel headline with the quantity unstated.
Why do some well-known models have no page on this site?
Because a load-bearing spec is unpublished. We hold a corded pool cleaner without a published cable length, which currently affects the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus with Wi-Fi, the Dolphin Premier and the Dolphin E10, and we hold any pool cleaner without a numeric pool-size capacity, which currently affects the Aiper EcoSurfer S2, the Beatbot iSkim Ultra and the Polaris FREEDOM.
