Best robot pool cleaners for large pools: what the datasheets support
A large pool eliminates most robot cleaners on a single published number, but that number is not the same number from one maker to the next. Some publish a pool bottom area, some publish a maximum pool length, and two publish an ideal pool size with no measurement basis at all. We have not hardware-tested any of these machines. Everything below is the manufacturer's own claim, quoted with the basis its datasheet states.

Published as pool size up to 50 ft for in-ground pools on a length basis, with a 60 ft cable and a published 2:30 floor, wall and waterline cycle.
How makers publish pool size
There is no shared unit for pool capacity in this category. Beatbot publishes an area and names the basis: the AquaSense 2 Ultra figure is a recommended pool size of 360 square meters (Beatbot's own conversion: 3,875 square feet) per single cycle, stated on a pool bottom area basis rather than a total wetted-surface basis. Aiper publishes an area and a length together, for example the Scuba S1 Pro at 2,150 sq.ft (200 square meters) and 66 ft (20 m) in length. Polaris publishes a length only, up to 50 ft for in-ground pools, and its own page notes this is a pool length basis, not square footage. Wybot publishes an ideal pool size in square feet with no measurement basis stated at all.
That matters more on a large pool than on a small one, because a large pool is exactly where the rating becomes binding. A 3,875 square foot pool bottom area figure and a 66 ft length figure cannot be sorted into one ranked list, and we do not convert one into the other. Below, each number is quoted the way its maker publishes it, and where a maker states no basis we say that too.

The largest published area ratings
Two models tie at the top of the published area range, and they are siblings. The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pro is published as a recommended pool size (pool bottom area) of 360 square meters (3,875 square feet), and the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra publishes the same 360 square meters (3,875 square feet), stated per single cycle and explicitly on a pool bottom area rather than wetted-surface basis. Below them, the base Beatbot AquaSense 2 is published as a recommended pool size of 300 square meters (3,230 square feet), also on a pool bottom area basis in the official spec table. The Wybot S2 Solar sits a square foot away at up to 3,229 sq ft, published as an ideal pool size with no measurement basis stated, alongside an outdoor in-ground pool classification and a maximum water depth of 9.8 ft. Those two figures land within one square foot of each other but are not published on the same basis, so treat the near-tie as a coincidence of arithmetic, not as evidence that the machines are matched.
The next tier down is where a large pool starts to bite. The Wybot C2 Vision is published as ideal pool size up to 2,152 sq ft with a maximum water depth of 13 ft, and the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro is published at 2,150 sq.ft (200 square meters) for in-ground pools. The Aiper Scuba S1 and Aiper Seagull Pro are each published at 1,600 sq.ft (150 square meters). If your pool bottom runs past those figures, the maker is not rating the machine for it.

The length figures, and why they do not rank against area
Some large pools are long rather than wide, and for those the length rating is the one that governs. Aiper publishes the longest figure among the models we publish pages for: the Scuba S1 Pro at 66 ft (20 m) in length, for in-ground pools. The Aiper Scuba S1 and Aiper Seagull Pro are each published at 50 ft (15 m) alongside their 1,600 sq.ft area rating, and the Polaris EPIC 8642 iQ is published as up to 50 ft for in-ground pools, all surfaces, with no square footage published at all.
Beatbot and Wybot publish no length figure for any model we track, so the largest-area cleaners cannot be checked against a long-pool constraint on their own datasheets. That is a real gap for a 60 ft lap pool: the AquaSense 2 Pro's 3,875 square feet says something about floor area and nothing about span. Endurance across a large pool
Capacity is a rating, not a promise that one session finishes the job, and on a large pool endurance is the second constraint. This is where the largest-rated models publish the least. Beatbot publishes no whole-pool runtime for any of its three: for the AquaSense 2 Pro, only an up-to-11-hours continuous surface cleaning claim, a different basis than a whole-pool runtime; for the AquaSense 2, up to 4 hours of continuous floor cleaning from its 10,000 mAh battery, a floor-only basis; for the AquaSense 2 Ultra, three separate per-mode maxima, up to 10 hours continuous surface cleaning, up to 5 hours floor cleaning, and up to 4.5 hours walls plus waterline cleaning. None of those is a figure you can plan a whole-pool session against, and we chart no comparable runtime for any of them.
The cordless models that do publish a general figure publish it as an up-to number. Wybot publishes the S2 Solar as a working cycle of up to 150 minutes, with no mode basis stated on the US spec table, and separately claims uninterrupted continuous operation via its solar charging dock, which is a different basis than the battery-only working cycle. Aiper publishes the Scuba S1 Pro at up to 180 minutes with the mode unspecified, under its statement that figures are obtained in a controlled test environment or from Aiper Laboratories.
A corded cleaner removes the endurance question and replaces it with a reach question. Polaris publishes a 2:30 cycle for the floor, wall and waterline mode on the EPIC 8642 iQ and 1:30 for floor only, adjustable in the iAquaLink app, and that is a programmed cycle rather than an energy limit. Price and channel at the large end
Large-pool ratings sit mostly at the top of the price range. Beatbot lists the AquaSense 2 Ultra at $3,150 (on sale at $2,199 as of 2026-07-05) and the AquaSense 2 Pro at $2,299 (on sale at $1,899 as of 2026-07-04). The base AquaSense 2 lists at $1,298 (on sale at $799 as of 2026-07-05), which is the cheapest route to a published area rating above 3,000 square feet among the models we publish pages for. Wybot lists the S2 Solar at $1,799.99 (on sale at $1,399 as of 2026-07-05).
Two flags belong on this list. Aiper lists the Scuba S1 Pro at $1,199.99 for the Black colorway, but its store page carried a phase-out label at our 2026-07-05 check, with the White colorway shown on sale at $999.99 and out of stock. Polaris publishes no MSRP for the EPIC 8642 iQ at all: the product page shows no price and routes buyers to a dealer, and a $100 rebate promotion was live on that page as of 2026-07-05. A missing list price is not a cheap price; it is an unpublished one.
Reading the set conditionally
If your pool bottom is the binding number and you want the largest published rating, the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pro and AquaSense 2 Ultra both publish 360 square meters (3,875 square feet) on a pool bottom area basis, with the Ultra publishing per-mode maximum runtimes and the Pro publishing only the surface-cleaning claim. Note that the water clarification mode on the Pro requires the AquaRefine clarifier kit, sold separately at about $59.99 per Beatbot, so five published modes is not five modes out of the box.
